Kim Myhr and Lasse Marhaug are both well-known on the experimental music scene in Norway as well as internationally. They are both active as composers as well as performers, and can show to a host of collaborative projects with artists, orchestras and performers across genres and constellations. At Meta.Morf 2016, however, the two of them will collaborate for the first time.
Kim Myhr and Lasse Marhaug will present the world premiere of a new live-electronic work, specially commissioned by Meta.Morf 2016, to be performed on an 8-channel surround sound system surrounding the audience to provide a massively immersive sound experience.
Michal Rataj is an award-winning composer, performer and sound designer based in Prague, Czech Republic. He is well-known for his electroacoustic, chamber and orchestral instrumental music as well as a live performer of acousmatic and live-electronic works, both solo and in collaboration with other artists and musicians. In addition to his musical compositions, Rataj has produced a vast number of original radio art works with artists from around the world.
Michal Rataj performs his immersive works on multi-channel loudspeaker systems surrounding the audience. At Meta.Morf he will present an exciting set of acoustic, live-electronic and mixed electronic works, including his award-winning Small Imprints with guest performer Rik De Geyter on the clarinet.
