Jeremy Welsh

Jeremy Welsh (b. 1954) is an artist and professor at Trondheim Academy of Fine Art (KIT), NTNU. Active as a visual artist internationally since 1982, Jeremy Welsh has been a pioneer in video art and new media. In the 1980s, he worked for London Video Arts and then director at The Film & Video Umbrella in London. In the 90s, he was a driving force for the development of art practices that work with newer media while he was a professor of Fine Art at Trondheim Academy of Fine Art. He coordinated the Graduate Studies at the Art Academy in Bergen when it was established, and later became dean of KHIB. In recent years, he has been back as a professor at KIT in Trondheim.
