In December 2022, the lease between Svartlamon Boligstiftelse and Trondheim Kommune was extended by 35 years, which is the longest extension thus far. It means that the area is safe for now and its inhabitants can focus on living their everyday lives and building their future.

That’s where the idea for this event comes from. I want to invite Svartlamon to Blunk! I also want to invite everyone who has any kind of experiences, memories, or stories from Svartlamon to join us at Blunk and share them! Together we’ll make a small celebration of Svartlamon and Blunk and connect them.

There’ll be pens and paper so you can leave a written story or drawing behind, or bring a photo that you’d like to share! Hopefully, we can cover the walls of Blunk with stories, drawings, and memories. If you don’t have anything specific that you’d like to share, that’s also ok, just come by and have a cup of coffee and some cake.

About the artist
Daniela Björkenstam (b.1989) is a Swedish visual artist based in Trondheim. She holds a BFA and MFA from Trondheim Academy of Fine Art. Her practice is based on spatial, material, and social experiments in relation to places and to context, and she works mainly with installations and sculpture.
