Swedish composer Klara Lewis initially worked with film and the moving image. From there she developed practices which have influenced her ways of thinking and working with sound, where the material constantly allude to a vast array of possible images. She released her debut album “Ett” in 2014 to great international acclaim. Klara Lewis combines found sounds, field recordings and electronic textures into beguiling and resonant works in non-compromising, expressive and intuitive ways. Her powerful audiovisual performances are a mesmerizing 3D-like experience of sight and sound.

London based composer Jo Thomas creates an extraordinary combination of installation work, live electronics and detailed studio production. In her rich, pristine and detailed work she explores human fallibility and extremes of perfection through sound, noise and glitch. Her live work tends to be improvisational, and she engages performing with large landscapes of composed sound, where she explores textures of voice, micro-sound and technological artifacts.

In her live performances, Jo Thomas often incorporates the venue and space into her work to create hugely immersive audiovisual experiences. At Meta.Morf 2016 she will perform a set of award-winning works on a multi-channel sound system surrounding the audience, combined with projected video art.
